Peter Phillips - Chairman

A member of Worcester Hospital Radio and Choice for "longer that he cares to remember" (actually since 1982), Peter says that the current period of the development is proving to be the most exciting yet, with a new hospital and studio centre to be completed next year.

Another member who joined in 1983, Peter took up residency in the City in 1979 when he started work at the computer centre of British company Metal Box. Though that company has passed into French and now American hands, Peter remained loyal to Worcester and WHR during the ensuing years.

His current position is that of Chairman, a post held for a number of years and one which is vital as we work within the new hospital and a new regime of health care in the City. Peter also looks after the "look" of the station in terms of its presentation to the general public and also maintains this website.

The Sunday Supplement (Sunday mornings from 9am till noon) has been on air since the very early days of Peter’s involvement in WHR and subsequently Choice and is the one permanent fixture of his week, as his job entails many visits away during the working week. Its aim is to entertain listeners by keep them upto date with an hour of local news from the previous week as well as an hour looking at events which are on the horizon.
